Finance & Admin Support (Part-time, Contract)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, values-aligned finance administrator to support the day-to-day running of our small but mighty philanthropic trust. This is a one-day-per-week contract (ideally Mondays, in person at our Te Uku office), at $40-$50 per hour depending on experience. You’ll help keep our financial systems humming across a handful of purpose-led ventures.

The role

~ 1 day per week (ideally Mondays, in-person in Te Uku)

$40–50 per hour (depending on experience)

You’ll help keep our financial systems humming across a handful of purpose-led ventures.

What you’ll do

  • Run payroll
  • Manage invoices, bills and creditor payments
  • Reconcile and maintain Xero accounts
  • Organise receipts and bills via HubDoc
  • Support general financial admin (IRD, ACC, etc.)

 

About you

  • Experienced with Xero, payroll and accounts admin
  • Highly organised, trustworthy and detail-focused
  • Comfortable working across multiple entities
  • Ideally have experience in charities and/or start-ups
  • Proactive – you enjoy improving systems, not just maintaining them
  • Values-aligned and excited by work supporting climate, animals and children’s literacy

 

Scope to grow (now or over time)

Depending on your experience, there is scope to take on additional hours and responsibility from the outset or to grow into this over time. This could include:

  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Charity reporting and financial summaries
  • Investment portfolio support
  • Project budget management
  • Potentially fundraising support
