Childcare Supervisor

We’re looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Afterschool Care Supervisor to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with school-aged children in a supportive, community-focused environment. As an Afterschool Care Supervisor, you’ll help create a safe, fun, and positive space for children after school while building strong connections with families, schools, and the wider community.

Job description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising and engaging with school-aged children in afterschool care
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
  • Supporting children with activities, routines, and positive behaviour
  • Building strong relationships with families and being part of the local community
  • Working as part of a committed and well-supported team

Requirements

  • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
  • Confident supervising and caring for children in a group setting
  • Warm, reliable, and responsible nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s wellbeing and development
  • Available to work weekdays from 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM
  • Willing to commit to a long-term role
  • First Aid Certificate preferred, but not essential — we will pay for this if needed
  • Must be eligible to work and able to meet any required child safety or background checks
