Surrounded by 12 hectares of native bush and peaceful farmland, The Homestead at Greenstone Retreat has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. With stunning views, plenty of birdsong and space for the whole group to spread out, this place helps you unwind from the moment you arrive. Well-equipped with table tennis, pizza oven, large BBQ, local treats and board games, it’s the perfect base for groups of friends, family retreats, corporate getaways or those visiting Raglan for the WSL and wanting somewhere peaceful to recharge after a day at the beach.

The space

Newly renovated, The Homestead is fresh, spacious and thoughtfully set up for groups. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs, and four bedrooms upstairs, including one en-suite bathroom with bathtub and a separate toilet.

The Homestead includes WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, large TV, indoor fireplace for cosy evenings, covered outdoor gazebo area with a brazier for toasting marshmallows, large BBQ and pizza oven. You’re also welcome to help yourselves to the fruit trees and herb garden.

We provide your first breakfast, featuring delicious local goodies like Raglan Food Co coconut yoghurt and Raglan Artisan Bread. Tea, coffee, juice, oat milk and cooking basics are also provided.

There’s plenty of surrounding outdoor space, trees and greenery, plus a nearby pond to wander around. You’re just a 2-minute drive from Te Uku’s General Store and Roast Office coffee shop, and only 10 minutes from Raglan township and the surf.

If you have a larger group or event, you can enquire about booking the full Greenstone Retreat, including the three lovely self-contained cottages located around the property.

The property is fully owned by a charitable trust, with all profits from accommodation bookings supporting projects for climate, creatures and children’s literacy. We ask guests to respect the peaceful nature of the space. This isn’t a place for loud parties, but for connection, rest, slow evenings around the brazier and star-filled skies after long days exploring the coast.
