Sales & Operations Coordinator
Sutcliffe Trading is a New Zealand timber trading business supplying wholesale timber from sawmills to wood processors, merchants, and the building and construction sector.
We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded person to join our small team in Raglan.
This is primarily a sales and relationship-building role, with around 60–70% of your time focused on developing business and the balance helping manage the operational side of our timber trading.
You’ll be responsible for building relationships with existing customers, following up sales opportunities, finding new customers and regularly getting out on the road to visit customers and suppliers around the North Island.
You’ll also help manage orders from enquiry through to delivery and keeping our internal systems up to date.
We’re a small business, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership rather than waiting to be given a list of tasks. You’ll work closely with the business owner and have plenty of opportunity to learn the timber industry and grow your responsibilities over time.
Experience that would be an advantage.
While not essential, experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:
Timber, building products or the construction industry
Trade sales or customer service
Sales administration or internal sales support
Order processing and quoting
