Raglan has a vibrant and diverse calendar, with something for everyone. Feel the rhythm of local bands performing at cafés and bars, enjoy exhibitions, music, films and clay workshops at the Raglan Arts Centre, or join community events celebrating our rich cultural heritage. From seasonal festivals and sporting events to science evenings and sustainability initiatives, there’s always something to see, do, or be part of.
Raglan Community Radio’s team of dedicated volunteers and contributors work hard to make sure you know about events before they happen. They also highlight the stories that matter to our community – celebrating rangatahi (youth) achievements, local entrepreneurs, musicians, artists, and keeping abreast of the latest local news, environmental initiatives, and cultural milestones.
The voice of Whāingaroa since 1994, Raglan Community Radio has grown from humble school-gym beginnings to a town hall hub. Run by locals and funded through grants and ads, it’s been entertaining and informing the community for 30 years.
By tuning in to Raglan Community Radio (98.1 FM), you can discover the pulse of our town, plan your week, and connect with the people and events in Raglan. Whether you listen on-air, online, or follow Raglan Community Radio on social media, they make it easy to stay informed and involved.
One of Aotearoa’s original gravel events, the Karioi Classic.
Unlike many races held on sealed tarmac, a large portion of the Karioi Classic is on gravel, giving it a gravel grind, adventure ride vibe.
