Soundsplash

Music, community, and coastal magic converge for three days of Soundsplash festival magic.

Bringing soulful tunes, local legends, international stars and unforgettable performances to the natural amphitheatre of Wainui Reserve, just a short stroll from Ngārunui Beach.

This all-ages festival has something for everyone – from families to festival first-timers and the forever young at heart. Alongside a stellar line-up of international and homegrown talent, you’ll find nourishing kai, workshops in wellbeing, dance and arts, and a vibrant marketplace full of creativity and colour. With its strong sustainability focus, including a zero-waste policy and plastic bag ban, Soundsplash proves festivals can get their groove on while caring for the planet.

For the full experience, camp under the stars with BYO tents, pre-pitched tents, or campervan spots, just minutes from the beach. It’s the ultimate summer escape where the rhythm and vibes never stop.

Aligning with the Soundsplash kaupapa, workshops run throughout the festival – from yoga, beat-making, and mindfulness to poetry gatherings and more. It’s a chance to connect, recharge, and find your pace beyond the main stage. Manaakitanga is important to the Sounsplash crew with chill zones and a dedicated Kaitiaki Health and Wellbeing crew bringing a whole lot of aroha to the music fans.

Born in 2001 as the Soundsplash Eco Reggae Festival, the event began in the Raglan Town Hall thanks to local music legends Brian and Naomi of Cornerstone Roots. From its reggae roots to today’s multi-genre celebration, Soundsplash has evolved into one of Aotearoa’s most-loved festivals, featuring world-class acts like Fat Freddy’s Drop, Six60, My Baby, Sticky Fingers, Ocean Alley, Luude, and Dope Lemon, alongside rising New Zealand stars.
